Data Use Agreement

1. This Data Use Agreement will be binding on “Service Recipient” when Data Service Provider delivers data to “Service Recipient” And it will end immediately after “Service Recipient” does not comply with any of the conditions
2. In this data use agreement
“Service Provider” means Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design (RIPED) is a Service Provider
“Service Recipient” means government agencies, state enterprises, public organizations, local government organizations, the other government agencies including with domestic and international general who want to get the RIPED Data service from Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design (RIPED)
“Service” means the RIPED Data request submitted by Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design (RIPED)
“The confidential data keeper” means that “Service Recipient” has a duty to strictly keep the confidentiality of individual or specific data.
3. Term of the data use agreement
the RIPED Data Use Agreement will be in effect when it has been signed and it will end when the “Service Recipient” breaks agreement of RIPED Data Use Agreement
4. Duties of Service Recipient
“The Service Recipient” will be “the confidential data keeper” after “the Service Recipient” has received the data from “the Service Provider” and must strictly comply with the following requirements.
4.1 Data access is limited to organizations that are signed under the RIPED Data Use Agreement
4.2 “Service Recipient” must use the data as the purposes and the conditions that have been specified in the RIPED Data Use Agreement only. If the data is not used as the purposes, “Service Provider” has the right to terminate this agreement.
4.3 “Service Recipient” must use the data only for the purposes of statistical, analysis or research and the “Service Recipient” must not use the data for other purposes that haven’t been specified in the agreement unless the “Service Recipient” has received the written permission from “Service Provider”.
4.4 “Service Recipient” must refer to the data set from the Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design – University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce who is the data center in all published media.
4.5 “Service Recipient” must keep the data confidential strictly and will transfer neither a part nor whole of data to the other persons/organizations. And be responsible for any damages resulting from data leakage exposed by yourself and the others.
4.6 The data must be not used as illegal in any ways.
4.7 The following research lists have to be referenced in the research or analysis that are the results of using the RIPED Data from the RIPED Data Use Agreement.

4.8 Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design (RIPED) – The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce must be protected by “The Service Recipient” to be independent of any compensation for damages or any cost arising from using the data.
5. Prohibitions of “Service Recipient”
5.1 “Service Recipient” may not copy, modify, sell, rent, grant, make benefit, permit or do any act which reveal a part or whole of data that has been requested under the RIPED Data Use Agreement for the others/organizations or allowing other persons/organizations in any way.
5.2 Do not allow “Service Recipient” or the others/organizations to use the data that can identify individuals, families, businesses, businesses or organizations.
5.3 Do not allow “Service Recipient” or the others/organizations to create data that connects between the data sets or between the data and other data sets that can identify to the individuals or organizations.
5.4 “Service Recipient” is not allowed to share the data with the others/organizations that have not signed the RIPED Data Use Agreement.
6. The responsibility for any damage of “Service Recipient”
“Service Recipient” shall be liable for the compensation of any damages arising from data leakage or other effects, including with the damages from using the data
7. The data and research
7.1 The data that the recipient has received from the institute according to the RIPED Data Use Agreement is the copyright of Research Institute of Policy Evaluation and Design (RIPED). The data accessibility is able to be denied at any time without reason.
7.2 “Service Recipient” is the owner of researches and analytical results that are the consequence of data use is processed on the term of the RIPED Data Use Agreement. However, “Service Recipient” permits to Research Institute of Policy Evaluation and design (RIPED) – The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce to access and use researches and analytical results by notifying to “Service Recipient”.
7.3 “Service Recipient” must specify thanks message as “Thank you to Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design – University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce that has supported the useful data for conducting research/this project” in the acknowledgment.
7.4 “Service Recipient” must submit the completed report/work to Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design (RIPED) – University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce
Service Recipient has read and understood the statement in this agreement in details and then signed as evidence.
